How did I get into UX design?
I’m an analytical problem-solver with a classically trained understanding of the importance of form and function. My education comes from the Art & Design BFA program at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I hope to continue my education at the University of Washington, Seattle with a Masters of Science in Human Centered Design & Engineering.
A natural team leader in UX, UI, IxD, and communication design, I’m passionate about the people behind the products. I love to build and improve enterprise web and mobile applications that support businesses and employees. In my current role as User Experience Design Manager, I coach and support a team of talented designers, developers, and product strategists.

The number 9 represents alignment and balance, and these forces are everpresent when working as a UI designer. Visual harmony makes my brain feel good. Additionally, nine of anything displayed in a symmetric manner form a balanced grid, which is a pattern repeated in many digital design tools.
Outside of work, I enjoy painting with watercolor and cooking with my family.
